Z grą „Articulate!” spotkałam się podczas mojego pobytu na Erasmusie w Edynburgu. W szkole językowej nasz nauczyciel część zajęć poświęcał właśnie tej grze.
Gra polega na losowaniu słowa i próbie jego opisania swojemu partnerowi, który po opisie powinien je zgadnąć. Słowa podzielone są na kilka kategorii: sztuka, kultura, przyroda, życie codzienne, geografia, matematyka itp. Ponieważ słowa pochodzą z wielu pól semantycznych, możliwa jest nauka prawie całego obszaru słownikowego jest bardzo zajmująca, nigdy nie wiadomo jakie słowo będzie wylosowane – trudne, czy łatwe. „Articulate !” umożliwia nauczenie się wielu nowych słówek w sposób „niezauważalny”, jest wciągającą zabawą towarzyską, uczy współpracy, a także odwołuje się do wiedzy uczniów z wielu innych przedmiotów, pogłębiając nie tylko znajomość języka angielskiego, ale też innych przedmiotów ogólnokształcących.

The game completely changed my perception on English lessons – not only do we get to test our knowledge, but also expand it. We got to have fun while learning and exercise our language skills. It’s always more challenging to talk to your colleagues in English, when it isn’t your primary language, but it makes it a bit competitive and interesting! Getting different

This game is really fun and you can learn a lot from it. For me the most important thing in learning foreign languages is speaking. This game perfectly trains your speech in English. This is really fun to play with friends and I think it would be a good idea to play this game in school sometimes. Ever since our teacher showed us this game for the first time, I started to speak English more fluently. The game was far more enjoyable with over 10 people playing it, because there were always some funny situations happening. It was so much fun, but also it wasn’t always easy to describe some things, which made it even more exciting and challenging.
Overall, I think it is a really cool alternative to a traditional lesson.

This game is the best of its kind. I have never had so much fun while playing with my friends. The gameplay is so creative. It helped me improve my vocabulary , a lot. I sincerely believe it is the best way to learn English.
